The Oklahoma fly fishing community has been leaders in conservation efforts around the state. This has not only helped preserve and enhance the fishing grounds for future generations, but has helped in the present by preserving fish habitat and in selective stocking. It is not necessary to fly across the world to find a good fly fishing experience, it can be found right in the middle of the country in Oklahoma. It can be said that the wind that comes sweeping down the plains can carry your fly and deposit it right on top of that lunker lurking in some remote stream.
